Wendy is a very self-directed, creative problem solver when it comes to making systems and designs better. She understands well that the process of making a website and design better is a constant one. I worked with Wendy on a project outside the scope of her normal duties that she handled with enthusiasm and skill. As a result, the largest newspaper in Maine launched its first focused multimedia section, scaling from zero to almost 200 projects in less than one year. I find that Wendy intuitively "gets" what changes are neccessary to make the user experience on a site better and thus can take a good site and make it great.

  • About Wendy

A founding member of the MaineToday.com team, Wendy served as the site’s senior designer for 14 years—until leaving in 2009 to design web sites with her own team. Wendy studied graphic design at the Art Institute of Boston and the University of Massachusetts. In addition to design skills, her toolkit includes GUI design for the web, XHTML and CSS development, meticulous project and time management, and the ability to shepherd a project from scribbles on a napkin to a beautiful and effective work of technology and art.
