One of the fun things about this site is the background. At 1500 pixels wide, it spans the width of most users’ monitors, filling even a wide browser window. It’s visible for a moment before the page loads, then remains visible on the edges, with the page centered on top of it. The scene itself is a montage of five photos, combined to give the feel of Maine’s mountains in the west and coastline in the east.
